Refugee Book Drive

Refugee Book Drive/ #BookstoresAgainstBorders

The #BookstoresAgainstBorders initiative was begun by a neighbor bookstore in Madison, WI, A Room of One's Own. River Dog Book Co. is joining them and independent bookstores from across the United States in raising money for the Refugee and Immigrant Center for Education and Legal Services (RAICES). During July 5-7, a percentage of all sales via River Dog Book Co. will be donated to this cause. You can even combine efforts by supporting the Libros Para el Viaje/Refugee Book Drive initiative by purchasing a book to donate TO refugees at our southern border thanks to our partnership with Casa Camino Real Bookstore in Las Cruces, New Mexico (details below), and still have a percentage of your sale go toward the #BookstoresAgainstBorders initiative as well. Or, you can choose to make a donation directly to #BookstoresAgainstBorders by going to our fundraising page here.

River Dog Book Co. Statement:

River Dog Book Co. believes in helping people in need. Regardless of political affiliations, the reality is the refugees at the US/México border are in need of many things. As an independent bookstore located in Wisconsin, there are so many things we cannot help them with, but together with our generous customers and with our colleagues in the book industry in New Mexico and across the United States, we can help provide books. Please consider helping us help them.
